Our Trust

Our Vision:         Mau Ora Moana, Tū Ora Tāngata

Our Mission:      To actively enhance the mauri, wairua and mana of Lake Rotoaira while creating opportunities in partnership with our whānau.

Trust Object:      To safeguard waahi tapu, the graves of Māori people, and all historic and sacred planes in and around the lake together with the natural resources of water supply to the lake.

Trustees

Lake Rotoaira Trust is administered by seven Trustees who hold their seat for four years.  The Trust employs a full time Kaitiaki Ranger who is based at the Lake Rotoaira Camp Site.  The Trust also provides casual employment for whānau during the annual fish trap and weed harvesting programmes.
